This database summarizes the information on features and applications of various methodologies for Environmental Flow Assessment (EFA) on a country-by-country basis. This database was established in 2003, based on a review of international literature and exchanges with environmental flow practitioners from various parts of the world. Key findings from the review process are presented in the paper Tharme, R.E. (2003). A global perspective on environmental flow assessment: emerging trends in the development and application of environmental flow methodologies for rivers. River Research and Applications. 19: 1-45.The Database could provide access to background information and guidance to students, interested practitioners and researchers in countries where the science and/or practice of environmental flow management is in the early stages of development.
